Business Communication Writing

What is worth writing about? Or does one just write?

Yeah, someone said that my writing was a waste of time so they might be right. What is worth writing about?

I write when:

there is something that I think is worth communicating to others
There is nothing new under the sun. What do I have worth communicating to an audience of any real size?

I enjoy the process of writing
Yes sometimes I do. But I often have nothing to write about or if I am being paid to write something that is not interesting, I lose interest in the writing process.

it feels like I am getting something off my chest

That can only work so long for me. The relief or pleasure of that is not sustainable.

I feel like there is an audience that appreciates what I am writing about
Well that is pretty compelling both for the ego and also the sense that one is doing something worthwhile. However, like a sardine, my audience she is very small. Also an appreciative audience may help but I may still have nothing meaningful (DEFINE MEANINGFUL) to say and that will ultimately pull me from writing.

the act of writing helps me to work out a problem
Yes it can sometimes be a problem solving activity. But I don’t need an audience or a blog for that. I also only need to do that intermittently and there are many ways of problem solving which involve some writing but are not actually the act of writing.

the act of writing helps me to brainstorm
Same as above.

I am getting paid to write

Well when that happens you just do it. But it pays bills, it doesn’t solve my problem of “What is worth writing about?”

I am in the habit of writing
When you are in the habit of anything you tend to continue it. Habits are good. But they can also be good to drop when what you are doing is not meaningful.

I think I have something funny to say

This is one of my favourite spurs to writing. Often it is connected to when I have something to get off my chest which is, as I said, not sustainable. Other times I conceive of a ridiculous scenario and want to express it. That is certainly fun. Of course I can always say that this is ultimately not worth writing about but that thought doesn’t arise when I think of something funny or ironic. But ultimately if I want to write on more serious topics this type of inspiration will not carry unless I think that the world needs a new comic writer. And you know what: I don’t think it does.

I feel that I have something to teach
Burp.

as in a blog, I want to experiment with search engine optimization
Been there, done that. This is not real writing although it is a skill. Goes under the category of “getting paid”.

All we are is dust and it isn’t even windy.

Business Design Argument Rabbi Emmanuel Rabinovich Rose Rabbinovich

Design Argument Welcomes Rabbi Emmanuel Rabinovich

We, here at Design Argument, have come to realize that the spiritual crisis we are undergoing will not end by simply producing better content for our blog posts. Nor will it be alleviated by improving our search engine ranking or even by increasing blog traffic to the point where Google Ads are actually useful. The time to act is now and that is why we have hired Rabbi Emmanuel Rabinovich as our spiritual guide and keyword adviser. What may come as a surprise to many of you is that we have also retained the services of Rose Rabbinovich (2 b’s).

Although the primary goal is to upgrade our spiritual quotient on the blog, we are proud of the business opportunities that this new synergy will grow and sprout, unveil and reveal, and release into the web 6.0 environment. We are also pleased that Rabinovich and Rabbinovich are both actual fictional characters that can be looked up on Wikipedia. This is a first for Design Argument. Although we have created many fictional characters from scratch, this is the first time that we are using pre-existing fictional characters.

The environmental benefits of recycling fictional characters are significant and we are doing our part to reduce, re-use, and recycle.

Rabbi Emmanuel Rabinovich

Rabinovich and Rabbinovich (2 b's)

By way of introduction, Rabbi Rabinovich is a non-existent figure conjured up by anti-semites for propaganda purposes. He is probably most famous for his speech “Our Race Will Rule Undisputed Over The World” which he delivered to the Emergency Council of European Rabbis in Budapest, Hungary on January 12, 1952.

Rabbi Rabinovich’s speech invoked The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, as proof of Jewish global conspiracy and appeared in the well-respected early 1950s right-wing newsletter, Common Sense – A Newspaper Upholding Christianity and Patriotism.

The Rabbi Rabinovich speech is often distributed online with a cover letter by Rose Rabbinovich (two b’s – who has graciously offered to work with us on our reputation management crisis). Rosie states that the speech was found on her Rabbi’s favorite website, Radio Islam, which is a sweet twist.

So we give a hearty welcome to Rabbi Emmanuel Rabinovich and to Rose Rabbinovich (two b’s)! We look forward to the progressive changes that they will bring to our blog. We are pleased to use and transform a character created by vile human beings in a way that will bring joy, happiness and memories of fresh daisies to the eyes of our readers and the staff here at Design Argument.

Warm Regards,

Martyne Glodsten, CFO

Design Argument Reviews Strategic Objective with David Hume

An Incomplete Analogy

David Hume stated that within our experience of objects, we are able to recognise the ones that are human-designed – think pile of stones and brick wall. However, to speak to a designed Universe, we need to experience arrays of universes. Since we only experience one, the analogy cannot be applied.

Why do we have to accept that the universe i like a machine — as in Paley’s watchmaker argument — when perhaps, as it says in Wikipedia, it would be better described as a giant inert animal.

Design Argument Moves to Replace Itself

The Design Argument, in an effort to transcend its brand as a full-cervix, low-audience blog, is moving towards a simpler, more direct format.

All regulations and legal requirements will be complied with.

The New Post for the Design Argument Blog

john lennon reveals the Messiah“I can show you. I can show you.” – Saint John Lennon speaking about the coronation of the King of the Jews, Ed Sullivan.

This post contains brand new content on the Argument for Design. New content for Religion, Spirituality, Psychology, and the Structure of the Universe.

This post contains brand new content on Aish HaTorah, Chabad and Jews for Jesus. New content on Aish outreach and chabad outreach. New content on Beauty, Business, Classical Mechanics, Communication, Content Opportunity, Death and the glorious Design Argument.

This post is a fresh opportunity to share information about Family, Goldstein Solutions, History, Illness, Internet, Irony, Love, Meaning and the Messiah, yes the Moshiach. Murder Incorporated is included in the original content as is Music, Nature, Nature of Time, News, People, Philosophy, and Photography.

This post and no other is endowed with the ability to grant the fragrance of spring to the following items which are as follows, Poetry, Poetry Hammer, Proof, Psychology, Religion, Spirituality, Structure of the Universe, Suffering, Teleology, and, of least importance to many people, Truth.

The following is a paragraph copied from the post immediately preceding this one:

Atheism is also a business, particularly for entrepreneurs such as Richard Dawkins who used to be a scientist. He is selling atheism products in his store and using the cute tilted red “A” symbol as his new branding image (nice brand Ricky!). Just before Christmas he was selling holiday bundles! And I thought he didn’t believe in Santa! His wares include: various DVDs and DVD sets, t-shirts, baseball caps, sweatshirts with hoods, books, audiobooks, , mugs, stickers, tote bags, and lapel pins with the cute “A” on it.

This sentence immediately follows the paragraph preceding this sentence.

You may try to find pattern and meaning regarding the inclusion of two paragraphs from different posts. You may say that it was meant to be or that God willed it to be. You may follow yesterday’s lead, try to satisfy yesterday’s needs.

The following is a paragraph from an earlier post.

Critics of the supporters of the Ed Sullivan for Messiah campaign point out that he did not fulfill all of the criteria of the Messiah. Susan Perlman, Director of Communications for Jews for Jesus said “it just doesn’t add up. Sullivan did not gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel. Neither did he rebuild the temple or rule at a time of world peace. These people should know this stuff backwards and forwards. It is all laid out in Ezekiel Chapter 37, verses 24-28. I mean, it is getting to the point where I am referring people to Jews for Judaism’s website so they can get this Messiah stuff straight.”

Suzy Poppins offers theatre of the brain – a head of her times

Most of you are already familiar with Suzy Poppins, famous for her work in repairing feather quill pens, teletype machines and princess phones. Poppins is a very busy girl and her company, Oblique Phalangeal Fractures, is growing at a pace congruent with the increased popularity of these three communication tools. Her dedication to the repair of these items is unquestioned among her peers in the industry.

Due to the extraordinary success of her organization, Poppins was recently honoured with an Outstanding Business Achievement Award from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. Poppins is also proud to have been nominated for a Canadian Award for Excellence.

What is the secret of her success? It is her rock steady focus on these three areas rather than branching out into other growth industries such as the Underwood typewriter or the overnight success atmospheric steam engine. If you are over 25 then you will remember the Twitter fad of of the early 21st century. Where is Twitter now, for goodness sake? We all know what the teenagers are into these days. Princess phones, feather quill pens and teletype machines.

Suzy Poppins loves to give back to the community by offering to immigrants of British and Irish descent food, shelter and the self esteem that comes with having a low-paying job repairing feather quill pens. The immigrants have to provide their own tools and pay for their room and board as well as the purchase and laundering of their company uniforms.

Suzy Poppins is a great lover of all sorts of cheeses and enjoys sending her employees on unpaid errands to pick up the lists of cheeses that she provides them with. “I know that they love to please their employer,” said Ms. Poppins, “and it is my pleasure, my honour really, to provide them with the opportunity to please me in the faint hope that their living conditions or work position would improve.”

“Although they are not able to earn very much, and the living conditions that I provide them with are rather rustic,” said Ms. Poppins cautiously, “I know that any one of them could one day become the President of Canada if they have enough gumption and political and financial support. Bloody unlikely, but possible nonetheless.”

A Brief History of Barber Poles

A barber’s pole is a kind of sign barbers use, traditionally a pole with a helix of colored stripes (usually red, white, and blue). Suzy Poppins is an avid collector of old barber poles.

The origin of the barber pole is associated with the practice of bloodletting. During medieval times, barbers performed surgery on customers as well as tooth extractions. The original pole had a brass basin at the top (representing the vessel in which leeches were kept) and bottom (representing the basin which received the blood). The pole itself represents the staff that the patient gripped during the procedure to encourage blood flow.

The Development of Toilet Paper

Suzy Poppins uses toilet paper herself when appropriate and is an advocate for the use of this paper for its intended function amongst the members of her industry. As part of her charitable work she has retained Ronn Torossian, head of 5WPR and Aish Spokesanimal, to help her promote the use of toilet paper in western culture.

Poppins notes that, in earlier times, wealthy people wiped themselves with wool, lace or hemp, while less wealthy people used their hand when defecating into rivers, or cleaned themselves with various materials such as rags, wood shavings, leaves, grass, hay, stone, sand, moss, water, snow, maize, ferns, may apple plant husks, fruit skins, or seashells, and corn cobs, depending upon the country and weather conditions or social customs. In Ancient Rome, a sponge on a stick was commonly used, and, after usage, placed back in a bucket of saltwater.

The 16th century French satirical writer François Rabelais, in Chapter XIII of Book 1 of his novel-sequence Gargantua and Pantagruel, has his character Gargantua investigate a great number of ways of cleansing oneself after defecating. Gargantua dismisses the use of paper as ineffective, rhyming that: “Who his foul tail with paper wipes, Shall at his ballocks leave some chips.” (Sir Thomas Urquhart’s 1653 English translation). He concludes that “the neck of a goose, that is well downed” provides an optimum cleansing medium.

Goldstein Auto, Goldstein Subaru

Much is known about beaver dams and blastomycosis but little is known about Goldstein Auto and Goldstein Subaru. Is this because little is known about the Intelligent Design of these dealerships? Or is it rather a political effort to silence those who would promote these dealerships? The only thing that is known for sure is that many sites with these keywords are being indexed by search engine giant Ogle.

We will show the link between Suzy Poppins and Goldstein Auto in a later post, at such a time when we are motivated to.
